Documentation for the following commands can/should be found in the appropriate man page. This is primarily designed to be a short list of usage and syntax.
Most of the commands come in flavors of three as follows:

Examples of what I'm talking about above:

| symdev | symcli | Performs operations on a device given the Symmetrix device name. |
| sympd | symcli | Performs operations on devices given the devices physical name (c2t0d0) |
| symgate | symcli | Performs operations on gatekeeper devices. |
| symdg | symcli | Performs operations on Symmetrix device groups |
| symld | symcli | Performs operations on devices within a device group |
| symbcv | Timefinder | Performs support operations on BCV pairs |
| symmir | Timefinder | Performs control operations on BCV pairs |
| symrdf | symcli | Performs control operations on RDF pairs |
| symcfg discover | symcli | Creates a local database of the attached symmetricies. |
| syminq | N/A | Shows internal & external devices that the host sees. |
