HPUX Kernel parameters used to be documented in Appendix A of the System administrator’s tasks manual. For reasons that were never adequately explained, HP decided to remove them when 10.X came out. Since then, the only place I was aware of the kernel parameters being documented was through SAM’s help system - a bit of a hassle at best.

Well, thanks to Bill Hassle of the HP response center, I’m now aware of a link into HP’s documentation that contains the kernel parameters documentation.

Thanks, Bill!

NOTE: There’s zero chance that url will work as HP completely reoganized their documentation. Those docs would only be usefulfor 10.X anyway (which is no longer supported). You can get the information on current kernel parameters via the kmtune (11.11) or kctune (11.23+) commands.
