If you're rack mounting your systems, chances are you'll want to remove the keyboard to prevent it from dangling about. However, if you do that, the system thinks that you issued a STOP-A and acts accordingly. Question is, how to prevent that?
The answer is the kbd command
kbd [ enable | disable | alternate ]
| Enables the STOP-A functionality

| Allows keyboard removal but leaves STOP-A working in case you need it. Sounds like this should be the default
